　　作为饶舌歌手李尔•韦恩（Lil Wayne）“Tha Carter”三部曲的终结篇，《Tha Carter III.》倍受瞩目，而随着正式发行日期的一拖再拖，这张专辑一不小心成了今年美国主流说唱音乐界最受关注的一张专辑。果然，被吊足了胃口的歌迷在这张《Tha Carter III.》正式发行之后表现的相当狂热，销量数字是最好的证明。据Nielsen SoundScan统计，《Tha Carter III.》在全美上市首周的销量创纪录的超过了100万张，创造了近三年美国唱片市场单周销量的最高纪录。2005年3月，说唱狂人50 Cent的专辑《The Massacre》在上市四天内销量突破了110万。
